‘One Word’: AI

My ‘One Word’ this week is: AI

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝-𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐈 𝐛𝐨𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟗𝟎 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧? 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧.

That is the reality now. Many first-round interviews for summer internships and full-time positions are run by AI.

A robot screens you before you ever speak to a human, and you only get about 90 seconds per question to prove you belong in the next round. That is pressure.

And here is what I am seeing: College students are smart. They are accomplished. But they do not know how to tell their story in a cohesive way that cuts through the noise.

And it is not just college students. The same challenge shows up everywhere:

✔️ High School Students navigating college admissions.

✔️ College Grads landing their full-time jobs.

✔️ Business Leaders rising the corporate ladder.

✔️ Entrepreneurs building their business ventures.

The challenge is the same:

How do you communicate the 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 you bring to others?

Because that is what personal branding is. It is not about performance. It is about impact. About knowing who you are and how you improve the lives around you.

And here is the good news I tell every student I work with: You already have that 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞. You just need to name it.

When you discover your 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝, it brings two forms of powerful clarity:

 Clarity for others:

Your 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 becomes the thread that ties your story together. It gives people a clear, cohesive picture of who you are and how you have made a difference. It creates resonance, recognition, and connection.

 Clarity for yourself:

Your 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 becomes your compass. It guides your choices. It helps you say yes to the right opportunities and no to the wrong ones. It aligns your work, your relationships, and your goals with who you are at your core.

I call it the 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐤𝐚 𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, that point when everything clicks. Your past makes sense, your present feels aligned, and your future opens up with confidence.

That is what I want for every college student and every person trying to be seen in this new world.

Because when you lead with who you are, not just what you have done, you stand-out.

All it takes is 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 to 𝐒tand-out 𝐂onquer 𝐎bstacles 𝐑each 𝐄xcellence and 𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐄.
