‘One Word’: INSPIRATION

My ‘One Word’ this week is: INSPIRATION

I’d like to introduce you to Myles, Sally, Brooke, Leslie, and Bradi—five inspirational people who’ve fought tooth and nail to find some light in dark times.

There’s no shortage of struggles in the world. But just as those struggles look different from person to person, so too does the resilience needed to overcome them.

These podcast conversations will inspire you to embrace life with a renewed outlook and appreciation, reminding you of the strength we all have to rise above adversity and navigate through the challenges we face.

Myles Grossman: Fortitude Through Profound Loss

In my latest podcast episode, I had the privilege of speaking with Myles Grossman, a young man who transformed his journey through profound loss into a powerful message of resilience and connection. Myles lost his sister Hallie to a rare cancer at just 25, and his insights on navigating grief are nothing short of inspiring.

His approach to handling this loss as a young adult offers valuable lessons for all of us, regardless of our age or experiences with grief. His perspective is a beautiful reminder that even in the darkest times, we can find ways to connect with those we’ve lost and continue to grow.

Sally Joy Wolf: Gratitude In Adversity

Cancer has amplified Sally’s gratitude, transforming her journey into a testament of resilience and strength. In her battle with metastatic breast cancer, gratitude is not just a feeling — it’s a powerful force that helps her find joy in each moment, even amidst the toughest challenges.

Sally’s story is a reminder that in the fight for life, appreciation can flourish, illuminating the path forward with hope and determination.

Brooke Eby: Defying ALS with Humor

Brooke is a certified star with an outlook on life that just might change yours. She faces the relentless progression of ALS with unwavering humor. ALS may steal her physical strength, but Brooke refuses to let it take her joy. Her laughter has been a powerful tool in raising funds for ALS research.

Humor is her superpower to fight against the odds, and you can experience that sense of humor yourself on this episode. Keep inspiring us Brooke – you are truly one-in-a-million!

Leslie Weirich: The Beacon of Hope

Leslie, a staunch advocate for suicide prevention, turned her personal tragedy into a mission. Her son’s battle with mental health ended tragically, but Leslie emerged as a beacon of hope for others fighting the same battle as her son. Recently she spoke at an army base in Alaska, ensuring soldiers have the tools to combat the silent struggle of mental health.

Please take some time to listen to this game-changing conversation with Leslie…and then go give her a virtual hug as you follow her on LinkedIn.

Bradi Nathan: Perseverance Personified

Bradi’s son, Jack Nathan, was a mental health advocate himself. Battling anxiety and depression, he created the “Happy Jack” clothing brand—a community reminding us that it’s okay not to be okay. But tragically, he fell victim to an accidental fentanyl overdose.

In the face of such a senseless, painful loss, his mother, Bradi, transformed grief into purpose. She continues his legacy through Happy Jack to break the stigma around mental health, and you can hear her strength throughout our conversation. I appreciate Bradi for sharing her story, ensuring that even though Jack is no longer physically with us, his influence on the world continues to endure.

Please go follow Bradi on TikTok.

These five guests inspired and moved me deeply. Their resilience serves as a powerful reminder that, no matter the obstacles, we can turn pain into purpose. I encourage you to listen to at least one of their stories to understand what true strength really means.
